The video (Cross Centre Line ) is heavily compressed to minimize bandwidth, thus the resolution is very low. However watch the driver of left vehicle moving out of his lane, I don't think he saw the vehicle just about to pass him. An accident at around 90kph,almost!

| The iWitness DVR has a forward and rear camera. Also contains a microphone for audio recording, a GPS for speed and location information and a three axis shock sensor. All this information is recorded on a SD card in a continuous loop. If the shock sensor preset value is exceeded then it automatically protects the image data on the SD card for a set time before and after the trigger event. The set time (user decision) for protection is either 1/2/3 minutes before and after the event. The only way this data can be erased is by user on a PC. The DVR will not overwrite this data once protected. An external switch is also provided to enable the user to manually trigger data protection. On the rear of the iWitness unit is a LED panel that provides status and vehicle speed information. | ||||||||||||

To view the recorded data, place the SD card into a suitable reader connected to your PC. It is recommended that a reader be USB2 and capable of reading SDHC cards. This type of reader is readily available and inexpensive. Most PC computers running XP OS or above will not need any extra software.
The SD card has three directories - Configuration, Data and Player. The Configuration directory holds the user input setup parameters. These consist of, shock sensor sensitivity, password protection code, vehicle name and region time. The Data directory stores the video, audio, shock and GPS information. This is the directory that is used for replaying. The Player directory contains the complete software of the player. This means that any PC that reads the SD card will have the re-player software available. If the PC is connected to the internet while re-playing the stored data, it is possible to display the location information on a moving Google Map.
