This is a solid-state, pulsed radar object detection system. This is NOT an ultra-sonic based system, it uses radio wave signal for its operation. It will detect moving and stationary objects and give a visual and audible alarm to the driver. You should use this system in addition to a camera based rear vision system. The detection distance is 3M and 3M wide at the max (the white part of graph below). The unit is made of tough polycarbonate. The unit is suitable for larger vehicles and has a 7.6M cable between sensor and display.
